Paule Desjardins is a French chanson singer born in Calais. In 1956 she released her first record Sentimental strip-tease. In the same year she took part in the Grand prix de la chanson de Deauville 1956 with the song Toi, cest vrai. Further records with Il est là and Dalilah followed in 1957 and finally in July 1957 her first charter success La chanson de Lima, which remained in the Top 20 for half a year. She took part in the second Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson on March 3, 1957 in Frankfurt for France and reached second place with her chanson La belle amour.
