Back in 2004, epic45 released their second album, 'Against the Pull Of Autumn' and to mark the 10th anniversary of this record they are releasing an extra special double vinyl reissue on their own Wayside and Woodland label Record Label: Wayside And Woodland Rec Style: Post-Rock

Weathered" opens with "Leaving Traces", a five minute original composition for violin and schoolhouse piano that formerly appeared as a brief fragment on "Weathering". Featuring mournful strings by Sarah Kemp of Fieldhead and Lanterns on the Lake, it is a careworn recording that sets the tone of the album. Fieldhead's reworking of the piece draws out the strings to breaking point, an echo through time lost in dense, dissonant layers. Charles Vaughan, a producer based in Monmouthshire, whose own recordings often sound like they've been unearthed, moth eaten and decayed, approached eople Say This Place Is Slowly Dying'. His version captures the gnawing of a persistent memory and the ability of the past to overwhelm the present, with an underlying sense of dread in his manipulation of the original's field recordings.Because of the distinct brief given to collaborators by epic45, Weathered feels more like a considered album than a remix collection, while also reflecting the individual tal Record Label: Wayside&Woodlan Style: Independent

With everything shut by nine, Ben Holton and Rob Glover were trapped in bedrooms; too young to escape the watchful eye of parents. They were contemplating starting a band. New sounds emerge from across the hallway. A sticker covered door, entry denied by an older brother sat behind blasting out pirate radio; not suitable for young ears. Perhaps a familiar scene from the nineties. And so, drawing on a musical palette of those heard sounds, coupled with ruminations on ageing and a dose of epic45 shimmer; 'Cropping The Aftermath' makes its way into the world. "The 90s were our adolescent years, in which we grasped around for an identity and set of ideologies to live by. 'Cropping the Aftermath' is the second release by epic45 in 2020; the 'We Were Never Here' photobook project came out in May. It was an instrumental release featuring large scale photography taken during 2018-2019, of 'nowhere places' eerily devoid of human life. The current line-up consists of founder members Ben Holton and Rob Glover, with James Yates, a long term collaborator whose role within the band has grown organically over time. epic45 will be rescheduling all cancelled UK and Japanese live dates when appropriate.
