Record Label: Dark Essence Style: Alternative Rock

In February 2015, the 3rd album from Krakow, amaran, was released, followed by great reviews. On this latest release, the band developed their style further, and made a unique and atmospheric record that definitely stood out. Krakow once again worked with producer Iver Sandøy in Solslottet and Duper Studio. The band walked into the recording session with 10 tracks, unsure how they would fit on the album as a whole. In fact it was not until the last day of mixing that the album revealed itself. Each track found its place, which led to the decision of releasing the collections of songs separately as one album and one EP. The genesis EP consists of the title track genesis and three other tracks that embodies the more agressive and direct side of Krakow. vThe release will both come in digital form as well as on a 7 strictly limited to 300 copies. Bergen-based post-metalers Krakow, releases their 2nd album called “diin” on Dark Essence Records. Since Krakow was founded in 2005 they have evolved from a stonerband to an experimental post-metal band with a unique sound and atmosphere. “diin” was recorded in Duper Studio in Bergen, with producer Iver Sandøy (from Trinacria, Emmerhoff & The Melancholia Babies, Manngard). The songs on the album are heavy, crushing and massive, as well as atmospheric and experimental. Guitarist/vocalist René Misje’s vocal is much more diverse, and creates a new dimension in the band’s sound. Record Label: Karisma Records Style: Metal
