The label Devil Duck from Hamburg has had the wish to take a British band under its wings for a while now, because bands like Idles, Shame, Fontaines D.C. and others show that there is finally a big pool of great bands from the UK again. TALK SHOW from South London, where artistically the English navel of the world seems to be anyway, have now become it and on August 28th their debut EP "These People" will be released digitally and on vinyl. The band is still very fresh and could convince us live at the beginning of January with their almost provocative intensity during the "Mucke bei die Fische" series at the Molotow. The first release of the EP is called 'âÇÜStress' and is their slap in the face of a "Modern Living" that they detest. According to singer & guitarist Harrison Swann, like the other songs, it was primarily written in public transport, because that's exactly where you can observe such a einges einges, for example a throwaway society that seems to be in search of a deeper meaning and importance. Swann also let influences of billboards and traffic signs of the journey flow into his lyrics.
