Team Ghost is the brainchild of the ex M83 Nicolas Fromageau and Christophe Guerin, both on guitar, synths and vocals. In 2010 the French composer Benoit de Villeneuve (who participated to 3 songs of the cult M83 ''Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghost'' album) joined the band, also on guitar, synths and vocals. The three guys, who build a unique sound described by Pitchfork as ''waves of synths, sunburst crescendos, harsh shoegaze drones,tickly electronic effects'', are backed by a powerful rythm section with Pierre Blanc on bass and Felix Delacroix on drums. The band released two eps on the UK indie label ''Sonic Cathedral'', and toured in Europe with Crystal Castles and Liars. Pitchfork acclaimed ''You did anything wrong to me ep'' and the NME qualified Team Ghost mix of shoegaze and post-punk as ''coldgaze''.
