Süddeutsche Zeitung: Finally: R'n'B for people who don't like R'n'B. "Sacrifice" (AdP Records), the new studio album of the Munich King of Cons, has everything that can make this genre otherwise so exceedingly creamy: plush synths, cuddly drums, fluffy Songs, falsetto - but never too much of all that, which is probably due to the set-up the band plays live with. Duo line-up: drums, guitar. Just a few synth pads and basses and a little bit of clapping and whirring. And in the studio just a little bit more. This works great. "Sacrifice" sounds like a Parcels remix of the White Stripes on very kind MDMA. And is also otherwise a really nice, in the very best sense a bit sticky piece of pop for the start of the year.
