earMUSIC is happy to announce the signing of one of the first Italian metal bands to conquer an international fanbase and commercial success: Vision Divine. Vision Divine was founded by guitarist and songwriter Olaf Thorsen (also founder of Labyrinth) and singer Fabio Lione (known for his work in Rhapsody, Rhapsody Of Fire and most recently for having been the lead vocalist with Kamelot during their “Poetry For The Poisoned” tour, replacing with success the charismatic frontman Roy Khan). Vision Divine’s debut CD in 1998 sold over 100.000 units in Europe. The band’s new epic saga “Destination Set To Nowhere” (its 7th studio album) will be released on September 17th, 2012. “Destination Set To Nowhere” is a melting pot, a perfect mix of all the styles the band has crossed and experimented with over the years. UFOMAMMUT, Italian sorcerers of supernatural and obliterating doom, have completed their sixth full-length, and first as part of the Neurot Recordings family. "Oro" is the title for UFOMAMMUT's latest work, divided into ten massive movements overall, delivered in two separate pieces. The first chapter, Opus Primum, saw arrival in April, and the second, Opus Alter, now in September. As with all previous UFOMAMMUT albums, the concepts behind Oro are expansive and multi-faceted, mutating the Italian palindrome which translates to "gold" with the Latin translation of "I prey." Oro explores the concept of knowledge and its power; the magical stream controlled by the human mind to gain control of every single particle of the world surrounding us. Oro is the alchemical process to transform the human fears into pure essence; into Gold. Although Oro's two chapters will be released months apart from each other, they must be considered as a single track in which the musical themes and the sounds appear and reappear, mutate and evolve, progressively culminating in the crushing final movement. Oro is an alchemic laboratory in which substances are flowing, dividing and blending themselves in ten increments from the alembics and stills, culminating into the creation of Gold. The vinyl versions of both chapters will be handled directly by Malleus's own label Supernatural Cat Records, who were responsible for the release of all of the band's previous material. This is the third album in a row the band recorded with Lorenzo Stecconi. The band are also in the process of crafting a full video/visual version of Oro which will accompany the audio. Style: Metal

Three years after their RCA debut, Mass returned with a John Rollo-produced EP of six songs. Mass is an icon if we talk about Christian Metal. Okay, Stryper might be the biggest and most controversial band amongst the Christian bands but Mass is also around since the early Eighties, never maintaining the respect they actually deserved. That’s a pity because these musicians are outstanding, all what they do seems to be perfect…except for their career. Their belief in God might have been an obstacle in our overruling dark Metal scène but musical wise this band should have broke through so many years ago. Mass has always floated between some kind of Melodic – a bit comercial Eighties - Metal on the one side, some more typical US Metal on the other. Both fits the band perfectly and because I’m a fan of both subgenres Mass has always been a band I was interested in. Listening to this release really was fun, makes me long again to hear more from the band in the future. “Sea Of Black” was their latest effort, dated 2010, but it’s about time to release new music. This EP, official released in 1988, belongs since many years in the row of “impossible to find” records but thanks to Retroactive Records it’s finally possible to purchase it for a normal price. It’s without any doubt a release you should buy if you’re a fan of US Metal! “Take you home” is, as we’re used to from these Boston guys, a pleasure to listen to. This EP breathes everything Eighties US Metal is really about and makes you travel to Memory Lane! For those who are ignorant about Mass I can only advice adding this one to your collection if you’re into bands like Leatherwolf, Fifth Angel, Racer X and yes, Stryper. Melodic arrangements, strong clear vocals with high screams, superb guitars and tracks that keep on playing on your mind. Six songs are foreseen and the band obliges me to make one after another spin! Style: Metal
