LITTLE GANG is based around and driven by the unsettled energy of Stockholm based musician Jacob Snavely. After figure eight like relocations across his native USA, a move from San Francisco to London was in order. Not long after setting up camp in London, fellow Bay Area cronies Two Gallants came to the call. A year and a half on the road tour managing Two Gallants was enough to take heed to the idea of respite and creation. Jacob was curious to experiment with music of his own, and Sweden's Capital became the breeding ground. "Brûlez ce coeur" is the first social full-length from Les Momies de Palerme, following a CD-R self-released by the group in 2007. Les Momies is the Montreal-based duo of Xarah Dion (synths, vocals) and Marie Davidson (violin, synths, vocals). We _rst heard from Xarah as a Constellation mail-order customer years ago, and then began receiving the occasional long hand-written letter from her soon after she moved to Montr eal from Quebec City, introducing herself more fully and ruminating on her sense of displacement and re-orientation. Xarah remained unknown to us except in name, until a couple of years later when we were struck by an otherworldly performance by Les Momies de Paler me and r ealised she was one half of the duo. Xarah and Marie have both gone on to make many musical connections in the city, including membership in Sam Shalabi's Land Of Kush or chestra and Matana Rober ts' Coin Coin ensemble. Led Er Est emerged from a series of jam sessions that core members Shawn O'Sullivan and Sam De La Rosa started having in early 07, using bass guitar and some cheap drum machines and synths. They were inspired to record music largely by 70's synth prog, and 80's lo-fi electronics and industrial music. Owen Hutchinson joined the band for their first live show, at the Wierd party that December. In November of 09' Wierd Records released their debut full length. In spring of 2010, they toured Europe with Xeno and Oaklander, playing shows in the UK, Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Italy. Subsequently they released a 7" and then the May EP on Captured Tracks. On stage and in the studio Led Er Est create a thick wall of atmospheric soundscapes using vintage analog recording devices, samplers and synths using sci-fi soundtracks and cold wave as reference points. Based in Manchester, Last Harbour are an expansive collective playing "swooning dustbowl baroque" (Plan B) that is "rich and foreboding" (Drowned in Sound). kandodo is the solo project of Simon Price, singer/guitarist of The Heads. kandodo is for Price an exploration of tones, chords, and textures that evoke a very particular emotional response, a sense of yearning.
