But after a lineup change and a series of false starts in the studio, the band emerged with their most ambitious yet viscerally potent album so far. Art of Propaganda is proud to present Anomalie's highly anticipated third album, Visions. In 2011, Marrok (Harakiri for the Sky, Selbstentleibung) founded Anomalie to combine his favorite elements of emotional black metal, post-metal, and depressive rock, which soon resulted in his own incomparable vision of profound and honest music. Two years later, the work for his first full-length album, Between the Light, came to a conclusion: Anomalie impressed many and received much positive reaction in the press. It was followed in 2015 with the even-more-critically acclaimed Refugium: what was originally nothing more than a one-man side project turned into Marrok's main (and very personal) channel of artistical expression with this second album, which was soon followed by a decision to gather a full live lineup during that year's summer season. Alas, that solo-turned-secular vision has fully blossomed with Anomalie's third album, appropriately titled Visions. Immediately, the expanded heft of a full lineup is felt on Visions. That positive development is largely the result of the band's time on the road, during two European tours alongside such acts as Dread Sovereign and Agrypnie - but it sounds, and especially feels, totally like the Anomalie the international metal scene has grown to love. Thus armed, the band made the wise decision to record again at the esteemed Klangschmiede Studio E in Germany with producer Markus Stock (Alcest, Secrets of the Moon, Empyrium). But more than the actual sonics underpinning Visions are the life experiences which inform Anomalie's music. Some major changes in Marrok's ocurred since the release of Refugium, and with the help of this expanded lineup, he guides those experiences toward a natural evolution of the now-characteristic Anomalie aesthetic. An atmospheric spiritual journey telling the story of seven individual visions, the soundscapes of this opus are an amalgamation of black metal's bleakness with breathtaking melodies and fragile acoustic guitar arrangements, abducting the listener into a realm of fire and bones. Some compositions demand a certain level of patience and maturity to experience the full range of this highly emotional voyage, but those who are ready to face Visions will feel the honesty and profundity of these hymns about the cycles of life and death! The atmosphere grows deeper, the message echoes stronger, and the sound shows more individuality than ever before: truly, Visions will mark a massive new milestone in Anomalie's history.

Red is one of the most frequently used signal colors in science and in our everyday life. Soul Demise talk about a “Thin Red Line” and they will for sure address something significant. On their last album “Sindustry” the five Germans showed that they are able to look beyond the boundaries of melodic death metal. This time, they are even more ambitious. Defying the conventions, all individual instruments were recorded in different studios. Drums were laid down with the help of Christoph Brandes in his Iguana Studios, Dennis Schneider guarded the tracking of the guitar- and bass-parts in the Mainblast Studios and the vocals were recorded in the Rebound Studios under the watchful eyes of Simon Hammer. In the end of the process, Tue Madsen in his Antfarm Studios handled mixing duties and succeeded in creating a very powerful sound, which represents all the strengths of the new material. The band’s musical statement is perfectly visualized within the artwork by Bjoern Gooßes from Killustrations.

Behind GOLDSMITH there is no one less than the former frontman of the BLACKEND, who is still known under German Thrash-Insiders, who in the 1990s were among the coolest METALLICA clones with Prog-Thrash hit ever (if there was more), but his current Band suggests different tones, namely - how should it be different in view of the time? - traditionally rocky with a good blues beat side. Virtuosic, often torn-up picking like already in the opening '59 Seconds To Midnight 'draws this great produced disc out. Stadium rock refrain, and some of the most memorable melodies (listen to the finale of "What Is Our Victory") are accompanied by a modern, powerful sound (otherwise neutral metal, if someone has suggested it), which sometimes sounds a bit like the best MUSTASCH stuff. The Kenny Wayne Shepherd's title, as well as drummer's Hammondorgel accompaniment as the impulse 'Higher Sphere', as well as the relaxed hypnotizing 'I'm Alive' with jazzy chords are off the obvious breakers especially in the first half the less close highlight of "Fire!" Weaknesses? The half-ballad 'I See' em Comin ', while the equally quiet' Longing For Tomorrow 'is a coherent contrast point. CONCLUSION: Here "fire" and "desire" can gladly rhyme and cover the cover to ACCEPT, especially "Fire!" Nothing in common with the Solingen steel smithy. Once Doggerland was a landmass linking Scandinavia, Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany to the British Isles. At that time, at least theoretically, one could travel all the countries on foot, the English Channel was not yet existent. For the band Doggerland is the name program. Ten years ago the Englishman Richard Burgess, living in Norway, and Anders Ådin from Sweden joined together to combine traditional English folkmusic with Swedish folk. A recipe that worked, their debut came 2009 sensationally well. "No Sadness Of Farewell" was sponsored by the Swedish Arts Council and is hosted by renowned guest musicians: Kevin Henderson (Fiddle), Jenny Gustafsson (Fiddle), Mats Edén (Viola d'amore) and Fredrik Bengtsson (double bass, Mandola, Fiddle). But it is Burgess's expressive vocals and his melancholic accordion play, as well as Ådin's succinct turntables and his sensitive guitars that characterize the album. The repertoire is with songs in English and Norwegian as well as melodies from both sides of the North Sea typical of Doggerland. Some of the compositions are from Burgess and Ådin, the rest is traditional material and the two folk hits "Big Hewer" (Ewan MacColl) and "The Sun Never Shines On The Poor" (Richard Thompson).
