Reb Beach is simply one of the Hard Rock Guitar Giants of the current era. Influenced by the monster rockers of the 70's, Reb spent his teen years jamming along with recordings of Aerosmith, Sammy Hagar and Ronnie Montrose. But it was Steve Morse, then with the Dixie Dregs, that had the biggest influence on the young Reb. The complexity and the speed of the Dregs was a challenge compared to the blues-based playing of most musicians of that era. Reb not only loved the Dregs - they were a catalyst that drove his playing into the greatness now so well known to music fans the world over. He improved his skills at the Berkeley School of Music but after a couple of semesters he moved on and soon became one of the most sought-after session players in the music industry; working with such all-time great talents as Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Roger Daltrey, Chaka Kahn, Howard Jones, and Twisted Sister. While living in NYC he hooked up with his future band mate - bassist and frontman Kip Winger. Reb and Kip formed the band Winger and the rest is history. The two proved to be great writing partners, producing platinum records that featured no less than six top-forty singles with music that was commercial yet complex. Guitar for the Practicing Musician voted him "Best New Guitarist." Guitar World Magazine voted him "Best New Talent" and asked him to write a column. He also designed a line of guitars for Ibanez and toured, teaching guitar clinics. He also produced an instructional video entitled "Cutting Loose" that sold very successfully. After Winger went on a hiatus in the 90’s his career continued in the spotlight thanks to collaborations with Alice Cooper, Dokken and Night Ranger and debuted as a solo artist in 2002 with the album “Masquerade". Following the Winger reunion, Reb finally got the gig with a guy he'd been sending tapes to for many years - David Coverdale. The band? Whitesnake. Since 2003, Reb has toured the world with Whitesnake releasing with them masterpiece albums such as “Good to Be Bad,” “Forevermore,” “The Purple Album,” and the recent “Flesh & Blood” plus a number of live albums. Reb now releases his first instrumental album but be aware this is not a mere exercise of self indulgence but the culmination of over 30 years of study and work on the guitar. Fans of Morse and Satriani will find a lot to like in the 11 songs on offer here and while there is certainly a lot for the musicians, you will find so many melodies and moments where the songs take over regardless of the lack of vocals. Helping Reb on the album there is his Whitesnake bandmate Michele Luppi on piano among others.

Lords Of Black is a metal band originally formed by the artistic union between two world class Spanish musicians, vocalist Ronnie Romero (Rainbow, Vandenberg) and renowned guitarist Tony Hernando. Their new album, “Alchemy Of Souls” showcases the band’s fondness for the legendary artists and albums that are the blueprint of the genre, while also highlighting their songwriting that incorporates modernity into the overall sound. “Alchemy Of Souls” also represents a reunion of sorts as Romero took a hiatus from the band during 2019. Hernando auditioned several new singers and even appeared live with a lineup featuring two well respected singers, Diego Valdes (Dream Child) and Dino Jelusick (Animal Drive). Well, if anything good came out of the pandemic that brought touring to a halt, this is it. Thanks to this record, ‘Viva La VicTOURia’ will live forever, although it ended up being our shortest tour,” says vocalist/guitarist Erik Mårtensson. “Fans have asked us for a live album and video for a long time now. Well, here it is. Eclipse live, raw and naked. Enjoy!” adds guitarist Magnus Henriksson. Bonus material on the CD and limited edition 3xLP formats of this release include the studio track ‘Driving One Of Your Cars’ (a Lisa Miskovsky cover), acoustic versions of ‘The Downfall Of Eden’ and ‘When The Winter Ends’, as well as three live tracks from the band’s ‘Live from the Quarantine’ pay-per-view special, which was recorded at Studio Grondahl in Stockholm on 1st April of this year. Dukes of the Orient will finally release their eagerly anticipated second album, “Freak Show” on August 7, 2020. The band’s sophomore album follows their impressive self-titled debut,which successfully launched the new international AOR with a touch of Mid-Atlantic Prog band. Dukes of the Orient is a collaboration between vocalist John Payne (ex-ASIA, GPS) with keyboardist Erik Norlander (Last in Line, Lana Lane, Rocket Scientists). Payne’s powerful arena-seasoned vocals carry soaring melodies and lush harmonies over the sea of classic synthesizers and keyboards artfully painted with Norlander’s signature sonic palette. Dukes of the Orient origins lay in 2007 with “ASIA Featuring John Payne,” a band that continued on after ASIA keyboardist Geoff Downes left the band to re-form the original 1982 lineup. Payne recruited Norlander to join the band for tour dates in the US and that’s where their partnership began. Eventually Asia Featuring John Payne would come up with the track “Seasons Will Change,” which was released as a video in 2013 and that eventually found its way on to the Dukes of the Orient debut. Following the death of original ASIA vocalist, John Wetton, in early 2017, Payne and Norlander decided that these recordings they had been working on for ASIA Featuring John Payne should give birth to a new band, both out of respect for Wetton and for clarity with the Downes-led ASIA. Dukes of the Orient are however the legitimate successors of the John Payne’s Asia. If you like albums such as “Aqua,” “Aura,” or “Silent Nation” then Dukes Of The Orient is for you!

There is no mistaking the true love of music these guys have!"Arctic Rain is the result of a collaboration between songwriter/keyboardist Pete Alpenborg, guitarist Magnus Berglund, and singer Tobias Jonsson. Later on, bassist Gert Daun and drummer Jonas Jönsson joined forces with the band for the recording of their upcoming album. The aim for the band was to write songs with strong melodic rock vibes based around the type of tasteful instrumental harmonies typical for a lot of bands in the '80s and '90s. A revival of sorts, but with a modern touch, both melodically and for the overall sound. While the core of Arctic Rain is undoubtedly Pete’s songwriting - he has an impressive track record of working with reputable acts such as Revolution Saints, House Of Lords, Issa, All 41, Toby Hitchcock, Sunstorm, Kee Of Hearts and many more - Magnus' tasteful guitar playing and Tobias’ amazing voice create an outstanding final product, which shows once again why Sweden is the golden land of Melodic Rock.
