A combination of high production standards, the growing confidence of the main songwriting team of Tony Wilson and Erroll Brown, and tight harmonies enabled them to secure big hits such as "You Sexy Thing"and "Every 1's A Winner". Hot Chocolate enjoyed an enthusiastic following in England, and in the U.S., Hot Chocolate had two major hits: "You Sexy Thing" in 1975 and "Every 1's a Winner" in 1978. That Rock-influenced Soul gem is the opener on the group's fourth album, which is also titled Every 1's A Winner. The track listing is solid, including the moving ballad "Sometimes It Hurts to Be a Friend" as well as the message song "Love Is the Answer One More Time" and the moody Euro-disco number "Put Your Love in Me." This is a Soul-Funk album that isn't afraid to draw on British Pop/Rock influences like David Bowie and Elton John. Nor were Hot Chocolate afraid to incorporate Afro-Caribbean influences - "Confetti Day," for example, could be described as an interesting marriage of reggae, Bowie, and Stax/Volt.

180 GRAM - INSERT - PRODUCED BY JACKSON BROWNE Excitable Boy is the third album by Warren Zevon, released in 1978. It includes the top 40 success "Werewolves of London", featuring Mick Fleetwood on drums and John McVie on bass. The album brought Warren to commercial attention and remains the best-selling album of his career. The tracks "Excitable Boy" and "Werewolves of London" were considered macabrely humorous by some critics. The historical "Veracruz" dramatizes the United States occupation of Veracruz, and likewise "Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner" is a fictionalization of a mercenary in Africa. "Lawyers, Guns and Money" is a tongue-in-cheek take on Cold War paranoia. In addition, there are two ballads about life and relationships ("Accidentally Like a Martyr" and "Tenderness on the Block"), as well as a dance tune ("Nighttime in the Switching Yard"). Additional musicians included in the album's creation are band members Jorge Calderón on vocals, Danny "Kootch" Kortchmar on percussion and guitar, and Russ Kunkel on drums. Among others, also Jackson Browne, Jeff Porcaro, Linda Ronstadt and Waddy Wachtel are featured as session musicians.
