Next to all the things that keep Paul busy, he also found time to go into the studio for the album De Leeuw Zingt Long (De Leeuw Sings Long). On the album he sings songs by his great musical hero and a Dutch icon: Robert Long. An impressive array of guest artists contributed to the album, among which Marcel de Groot, Ruth Jacott, Carel Kraayenhof, the Rosenberg Trio and New Cool Collective (the new NCC album Electric Monkey Sessions is also released on MOV [MOVLP1315]). Producing the album is John van Eijk, Paul's longtime producer, who is responsible for some of Paul's biggest hits like "Ik Heb Je Lief" and "Ik Wil Niet Dat Je Liegt". Van Eijk is accompanied by Dutch greats The Common Linnets (remember the runners-up to Eurovision Song Contest 2014?) and Typhoon. De Leeuw Zingt Long was made with lots of love and respect to Robert Long and his musical heritage. De Leeuw chose the songs himself and has a special bond with each and every song on the album

180 GRAM AUDIOPHILE VINYL Singles Going Steady is THE definitive compilation album by English punk band Buzzcocks, first released in 1979. It was the first Buzzcocks album to be released in North America and intended as an introduction to the band for the American public, coinciding with a US tour. After healthy sales on import in the UK over the next two years, and following the group's split in early 1981, the album was belatedly released in the UK as a Greatest Hits album. Side One features their eight UK single releases from 1977 up to 1979 in chronological order, while Side Two featured their corresponding B-sides, also in chronological order. NME called it is the best Buzzcocks long-player to be realized and signified the band as follows: Employing the most traditional of beat group formations and turning their attention to the most elemental considerations, Shelley and the Buzzcocks created pop of such intense truthfulness it literally hurts. Pitchfork listed Singles Going Steady as 16th best album of the 1970s.

The album is her fifth collaboration with John Cale and second with him as producer. It carries the same harmonium-based sound heard on The Marble Index [MOVLP1138] and Desertshore, with the addition of Brian Eno's synthesizersand electronic instruments. The song "You Forget To Answer" tells of the misery felt by Nico when she failed to reach ex-lover Jim Morrison by phone only to find out later that he had died. All but two of the songs on the album were written by Nico: the cover of The Doors' "The End" and a version of the German national anthem "Das Lied Der Deutschen". Brian Eno performs synthesizer on "It Has Not Taken Long", "You Forgot to Answer" and "Innocent and Vain". Being 40 years since the album originally came out, we're adding a whole LP to the package with bonus material from 74/75, previously unavailable on vinyl!

180 GRAM AUDIOPHILE VINYLA Long Time Comin' is the fi rst album by American Rock band The Electric Flag, released in 1968. The meat of the album is Soul along with Blues and Rock with a horn section. It is widely seen as an ambitious debut album by music critics. Ex- Paul Butterfield Band guitarist Mike Bloomfi eld, drummer Buddy Miles and others put this Soul-Rock band together in 1967. Their debut is a testament to their ability to catch fi re and keep on burnin'. Electric Flag appeared at the Monterey International Pop Festival with the Blues Project, Paul Butterfi eld, and Janis Joplin, and all these groups had some musical connection to each other beyond that pivotal festival. A Long Time Comin' was called the "New Soul" and tunes like "She Should Have Just" and "Over-Lovin' You" lean more towards the Soul side than the Pop so many radio listeners were attuned to back then. A song like "Groovin' Is Easy" is a classy production, containing intellectual ideas with lots of musical changes, a subdued version of what Janis Joplin herself would give us on I Got Dem Ole Kozmic Blues Again, Mama [MOVLP465] two years later. A Long Time Comin' infl uenced bands who would go on to sell more records. The material is pretty much composed by Mike Bloomfi eld and Barry Goldberg, spiced up by a cover of Howlin' Wolf's "Killing Floor" and spoken-word news broadcasts

he seems virtually unaffected by trends yet encompasses many of them in his productions, and offers something different with virtually each release. Similar to lauded underground labels from Def Jux to Big Dada, The Message At The Depth is underground rap for the digital age, far removed from the moldy crates and dusty beats of Krush's Mo' Wax classic Strictly Turntablized. His beats are digital, heavily resampled and quantized, splintering off like drum'n'bass patterns but possessing a depth and clarity not seen since the heyday of Massive Attack. And with far fewer collaborations here than on his last record, Zen [MOVLP220], there's more room to hear Krush at his best. A pair of instrumentals, the dark breaks symphonies "Sanity Requiem" and "The Blackhole" are added by high-profile vocal features of Antipop Consortium and Anticon, in the stoner nightmare "Song for John Walker". Ace rapping comes from Japanese MC Inden, who gets his point across on "Toki No Tabiji (Journey of Time)" without needing to resort to English.
