This is the debut album by ACID COBRA, who is essentially Amaury Cambuzat of ULAN BATOR and FAUST and was previously caught on a collaborative album under this moniker with Jean-Herve Peron in 2012. Collecting thirteen pieces all recorded in 2012, Petrified Minds pays witness to Amaury traversing those areas of interest which absorb all from the milder realms of avant-garde music, post-punk and melodic guitar work. Generally refined and imbued with a faint psychedelic atmosphere, each piece takes us on a kind of journey through the forest that is this man's own, though not petrified, mind. More subtle and gentle than most of Faust's work, less blistering than Ulan Bator, Petrified Minds is where Amaury goes when he's in a more pensive or reflective mood.
