Next month, Modern Love will release a CD version of Demdike Stare's recent vinyl series, Elemental. The first incarnation of Elemental was a pair of vinyl EPs that came out in December and January. The upcoming CD version is considerably different from those releases: 8 of its 18 tracks are entirely new compositions, four are alternate versions of songs that appeared on the vinyl version, and the rest have been rearranged in the tracklist. The two-disc package includes just under two hours of the haunting electronic music that's become Demdike Stare's trademark. Like their past records, it comes lavishly packaged, this time in a six-page oversized digifile with artwork by their go-to designer, Andy Votel. Record Label: Modern Love Style: Electronic
