A new band is hitting the melodic rock/AOR scene. East Temple Avenue is the new brain child from the man behind The Darren Phillips Project. In 2018 Phillips approached to bass player Dennis Butabi Borg (Cruzh), lead guitarist Philip Lindstrand (Find Me, Arkado) drummer Herman Furin (Work of Art) and his longtime friend Dan Skeed with the idea of doing an entire album. With Robbie LaBlanc ( Find Me, Blanc Faces) on vocals, the line up was complete. The first single 'When I'm With You' was released in May 2019 to much critical acclaim, and its follow-up 'Don't Make Believe', made several 'Songs of the Year' lists when it was released in October 2019. On 'Both Sides of Midnight' Darren Phillips and his bandmate Dan Skeed sure knows how to write a modern classic, inspired by the past but still up to date with the sound of 2020.
