From the capital of the Nordic island of Iceland comes a vibrant breath of fresh air in the form of experimental, noise/punk-influenced hardcore act MUCK. Having built an organic following due to their DIY ethics and energetic, no-holds-barred live shows, the band self-released a handful of EPs and one full-length record (2011′s “Slaves”), which caught the attention of Prosthetic Records. Their debut label effort, “Your Joyous Future,” will be released physically and digitally on Feb. 24. Full details can be found below. In anticipation of the album (the striking cover art for which appears above), the band has revealed the first listen to the album via a music video for the track “My City.” MUCK Drummer Ási described “My City” as “feeling like you’re getting eaten up by routine and trying to work out how to change it.
