Debut album by Florence, Italy-based roots-rock band STIV CANTARELLI & THE SILENT STRANGERS. Stiv's story is an interesting one. In 1999, as leader of Italy's foremost alt.country band SATELLITE INN, he signed his first record deal with North Carolina label MoodFood, at that time seeking a replacement for Ryan Adams' "Whiskeytown" who'd jumped ship to a major. Releasing the now sought-after "Cold Morning Songs", this led to an active US career for STIV CANTARELLI, forming a close bond with, among others, much-loved Portland, Oregon band RICHMOND FONTAINE. A decade on, following Stiv's return to Italy and a period fronting local heroes GOLDRUST, he was invited by Richmond Fontaine onto a European tour with them and BOB MOULD. Following this, Stiv recorded his first solo album "Innerstate" with RICHMOND FONTAINE backing him.
