ROGER CHAPMAN and CHARLIE WHITNEY formed the STREETWALKERS in 1974 following the break up of their hegely successful band Family. Streetwalkers proved an instant success both on the live circuit in Europe (particularly in the UK and Germany) and through a number of big selling album releases including "Downtown Flyers", "Vicious But Fair"and the best seller "Red Card". The STREETWALKERS broke up in 1977 following a major UK tour which was duly recorded and released as their final album entitled simply "Live". Following the discovery of the live tapes here is the newly mixed CD of the concert held in front of a huge audience at the DeMontfort Hall in the bands "home town" of Leicester from that 1977 tour. The gig is exciting, the playing superb and it begs the question "why do a band call it a day when they can play like this?".
