Jacked heavy Paper, Printet innersleeve, GREEN Vinyl and incl POSTCARD + FREE CD (no cover,no booklett) !!! 1991 Exactly when MAINSTREAM TEKKNO took over the whole world and on the other hand GRUNGE and HEROIN GROOVE oriented PUNK ROCK kicked in THE MONSTERS released their 2nd Studio Album "The Hunch" ( a tribute title for HASIL ADKINS) , everybody told them to make good recordings no TRASH CRAP so they thought to do a proper production and went to a proper good recording studio to have a fat sound ( for the 1st and last time)... anyway the studio was way to expencive for poor TEENAGE PUNK ROCKERS the Monsters so they only could afford recording on side of the record in a proffessinal way the 2nd side they recorded LIVE with Sam from THE RADIOATIONS and Jimi Ochsenbein at a gig they did in 1991 at the ISC CLUB in Bern their home town. That Record was a commercial sucess for the band and set them on the map of the music world, the album got licensed and some songs released on other labels as well.. for example the creature from the black lagoon got released by DIONYSUS RECORDS out of LOS ANGELES and they called their style of music GRUNGEABILLY. 1990 - 1991 there was a change of drummers. Pepe left the band ( he plays on the 1st side) and Di Putto ( tibu) plays on the 2nd side.

On the heels of her "Conatus" world tour, Nika Roza Danilova was offered an opportunity to perform at one of the most prestigious modern art museums in the world, NY's Guggenheim. Rather than doing her standard ZOLA JESUS electronic set she decided she wanted to work with a classical composer who could arrange her songs for a quartet. She recruited legendary industrial pioneer JG Thirlwell (FOETUS) to do the arrangements. Since his work as FOETUS in the early 80's New York no-wave scene, JG has been scoring and composing symphonic arrangements for his own project MANOERXIA, in addition to currently scoring Adult Swim's Venture Brothers series. If there is a common thread to Thirlwell's varied musical styles, it is dramatic intensity and evocative, cinematic quality. Thirlwell's oeuvre runs the gamut from orchestrations, big band, and cathartic noise-rock to abstract electronics, sound sculpture, and chamber music, thus making him the perfect collaborator to help realize Danilova's vision. Danilova explains her intentions with this album, "Versions is about the bone of the music;
taking approximations from past records and turning them inside out. With all framework exposed, the songs are given a new medium in which to evolve and bloom into their own tiny worlds." The show went over amazingly well with the Village Voice proclaiming that ZOLA JESUS "conquered the Guggenheim" and eMusic writing, "Nika Roza Danilova's performance was not confined by the normal genres and subgenres we affix to music, it was truly art." Removing the bulk of electronics from these songs gives them the space to breathe, thusly opening them up to exist beyond the restrictions of previously imposed genres.

New Zealand band SURF CITY's forthcoming album continues their love affair with psychedelic, reverb-swathed guitar pop, drawing from their Flying Nun forefathers THE CLEAN & THE CHILLS, as well as the fuzzed-up dream pop of THE JESUS & MARY CHAIN and the loopy noise of ANIMAL COLLECTIVE. This time round the songwriting is stronger, the tunes are hookier and the sound is even more lush. Recorded in snippets around the world, this is their second to be released via Fire Records. Arch Hill put out their debut album "Kudos" domestically in 2010, before it was released worldwide by Fire . The album enjoyed plaudits from the likes of Stereogum, who praised their "impressively assured sound" and "perfect 2-minute pop storm." Pitchfork noted that "their punky psychedelic pop is impressive" and admitted "Surf City's pleasure for pleasure's sake approach already has me pining for more." The band toured the US and NZ/Australia before taking a brief hiatus until Davin moved to New York, where he found a basement studio in Chinatown and began to work on the new album. He soon realized that the Big Apple wasn't really for him (revealed in the song "NYC"). He returned to New Zealand and continued recording. He soon found himself in South Korea and far removed from everyone he knew. Filling so many of his late nights and early mornings with recording additional vocals and guitar parts in his apartment, the paper-thin walls would eventually cause the neighbours who lived upstairs to move out. During this time Davin was listening to a lot of BOB DYLAN, SCOTT WALKER & LEONARD COHEN, who all coloured the lyrical style that appears on the album. In many ways it's a sad record, reflecting the loneliness and introspection that can occur whilst traveling and spending a vast amount of time alone on buses or trains or in airports with these legendary songwriters on repeat. Musically, SURF CITY have developed their signature reverb-heavy fuzz rock in to something more gutsy whilst retaining a keen ear for melody to create some unforgettable tunes.

After taking nearly a decade off following the release of "Here's to Shutting Up", Mac, Laura, Jon, and Jim decided to shout it out again in 2010 with "Majesty Shredding", an album perfectly described by its own title. It's a celebratory set of whoa-whoa-whoas from a group so thrilled by making music together again that they can't contain themselves. The band's forthcoming release, "I Hate Music", is "Majesty Shredding" 's dark twin. It's similarly aggressive-often moreso (see "Staying Home")-and every bit as energetic. It reflects the joys of a life spent immersed in music ("Me & You & Jackie Mittoo," "Trees of Barcelona"), but there's a dark undercurrent as well. That title isn't tongue-in-cheek, but it's really more a question than a statement: When you're 20, lazy co-workers and romantic missteps number among your biggest worries;
two decades later, life's bigger questions knock louder and louder, demanding answers. "I Hate Music" is an album about love more than anything else: love of life, love of living, love of people, and yeah, love of music. It defies its own title so completely and diligently that it never even seems like a fair fight: There's no pain this deep or yearning this severe without the type of love earned over a lifetime. "I hate music - what is it worth? / Can't bring anyone back to this earth" goes the first line in "Me & You & Jackie Mittoo." That song and its ten companions can't relive the past or resurrect those lost, but they can keep them close enough to see and hear and celebrate. It's dark in here, but if we conjure the right words and sounds, maybe we'll find our way out.

With "An Object", their fourth full-length album, NO AGE has forgone the straight and narrow route, landing in a strange and unexpected place, feet planted in fresh, fertile soil. This new LP finds drummer/vocalist Dean Spunt exploding from behind his kit, landing percussive blows with amplified contact mics, 4-string bass guitars, and prepared speakers, as well as traditional forms of lumber and metal. Meanwhile, guitarist Randy Randall corrals his previously lush, spastic, sprawling arrangements into taught, refined, rats' nests. Lyrically Spunt challenges space, fracturing ideological forms and complacency, creating a striking new perspective that reveals thematic preoccupations with structural ruptures and temporal limits. As the title "An Object" suggests, these eleven tracks are meant to be grasped, not simply heard. Whether in the fine grit of Randall's sandpaper guitar scrapes on "Defector/ed," or Spunt's percussive stomp and crack on "Circling with Dizzy" and "An Impression," these are songs that pivot on the sheer materiality of music-making, incorporating the process every step of the way. Still, this is hardly a work of avant garde noise music. These songs are hummable, political, recognizably rooted in underground rock, and informed by an understanding of sound as a material to be shaped, handled, and worked over. It is an aesthetic in which the relationships between guitar, percussion, and vocals-as well as those between rhythm and melody-become relationships between things.

Ruthless Sperm". What's in a name? A whole hell of a lot, actually. Sperm can ruin everything. Persistent little shits that fight their way to the prize. If just one soldier gets ahold of its egg of choice, things will break apart, bubble and mutate. A microscopic violence that leads to thirty plus pounds of sludge and flesh. Still, beauty tends to be the outcome after all this splashy mess and most parties find a happy, rewarding ending. Most parties. To the unfortunate others, the outcome can be more terrifying than anything dreamed up in a Polanski flick. Italy's HIS ELECTRO BLUE VOICE follows a similar path to creation. Once the choice is made, it's guaranteed the trip will be violent and unrelenting. Only the band doesn't tell you up front which crooked path is gonna lead you to the finish line (at first, they may not even know). But whether it's slathered in a thick glaze of neo-gothic guitar, an unexpected electronic pulse or leveled under a death trip full of panic inducing terror shrieks, HIS ELECTRO BLUE VOICE have become masters at building soundscapes that leave brave listeners spent, soiled and with nothing positive on their mind. On "Ruthless Sperm" - HIS ELECTRO BLUE VOICE's debut full-length, after a string of collectible singles/EPs and an appearance on the Sub Pop 1000 compilation - they set their trajectories on a Kraut-driven rhythm;
a haunting, cinematic wash or a mechanically-sound industrial thump. Thirty-plus minutes of shock-horror blasts, blaring cyber-synth attacks and that gloriously-repetitive Stoogeoid-meets-Killing Joke throb. The end result is a platter that's as direct as it is deadly. Yet for all the bombast and bummer, HIS ELECTRO BLUE VOICE still bring forth euphoric hooks and shards of shoegaze, if only to leave them strewn about within the mechanical wreckage. You can almost hear the sounds of the early 4AD roster in the grooves, left teetering between warped indie sensibility and creepy-crawl madness. Crazy sounding, but damned if it doesn't stick in your head. "Ruthless Sperm" by HIS ELECTRO BLUE VOICE: subtle as a construction site and precise like a leather gloved killer. This is the apocalypse. This is end times. Thankfully we get a decent soundtrack to go with it.
