With their electric black magic unleashed and in full flight, they bonded with the children of the forest over Cro-Magnon riffery, pounding drums, banshee wails, bell bottoms, boogie vans and the sweet miracle of tequila. Through sheer stoopidity, brutality, violence and volume they honed their primordial craft into a sonic axe of stone, opening skulls with deadly precision for as far as the pterodactyl flew. They would meet regularly, when the moon was full, filling their bellies with intoxicating wild berries, their faces wet with lizard blood as they summoned an unholy frenzy of orgiastic riffage, bashing out pagan odes to long forgotten Bronze Age deities. Through their music they traveled back in time to year UR, where they became wild and their manes grew shaggier. And through this transmogrification their vision became clear, the seas of bullshit parted before them and they were free to shuffle off the chains of modern society and raise a stubby and musk-tinged middle finger to the craven new world. Their war cry became their name, their name: La Chinga! Their mission: to vanquish all foes. Pulling members from today's best underground roots bands including Jayke Orvis and the Broken Band, Carrie Nation And The Speakeasy, Calamity Cubes and Sean & Zander, the album has a wide range of songs. From the stripped down acoustic and kick drum, 'Copper King' a song confessing the singers love of stealing 'green gold' to the all out blasting brass, fiddle and mandolin of 'I Am The Sky', a twin tale of murder and the cycle of life. The albums strength is not only in the masterful instrumentation of the albums many guests but also the word smithing, a poetic interpretation of real life events. The listener feels that he HAS just traveled with his dog in boxcars looking for the lost love he could never find or spent his last days waltzing through the alleyways, waiting for the end of times. But the final song is the most revealing and stripped away. A quiet, sad and lonely one, it is the story of a man simply going to bed and waking up again. It is a continuation of exploring, written on a grid of time by constructing auditive scenes. Technically the album was composed using noise generators, home-made modular synthesizers and experiments with voltages - in short, by combining analogue and digital technology. The album is complimentary to the previous three albums and their logical continuation at the same time. Focused on the animated world of sound, van Dijk transmits celestial soundwaves to discover new uncharted sonic territories. He sends a time capsule out into a fictional space, exploring the unknown and placing sonic beacons which create eerie soundscapes and detailed textures. Together with airy pads and dark shuffling rhythms, these elements form dynamic sequences which display the sonic and embody the thematic evolution of the Multicast Dynamics project. Throughout the four-album series, van Dijk crossed more and more sonic layers, slowly zooming out from a microscopic to a macroscopic scale.
