Formed in 2002, RUINS are from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. They blend ominous dark-death metal dynamics;
powerful, menacing, melancholic, yet eerily seductive black metal styles;
diverse and intense rhythmic structures;
and both venomous and summoning vocal presence. The writing/recording nucleus of RUINS consists of guitarist/vocalist Alex Pope, formerly of the post-punk noise-rockers SEA SCOUTS;
and drummer Dave Haley, currently also drumming with PSYCROPTIC. Both have also recorded and performed with THE AMENTA, and various other groups and projects over the last decade. Dave’s brother Joseph Haley is delivering the darkest riffs on the new album. The new album ‘Undercurrent' is a new beginning. A reexamination of the thematics in which we have worked for the first four albums. RUINS have achieved a higher order of refinement, after nearly three years in production As the title suggests, it presents an ominous and forboding sense, looming within a strict and powerful framework. In a flooded market, populated by predominantly superfluous material, RUINS with the vital, timeless and true feeling of black metal.

Occult doom rock unit ALBEZ DUZ emerged from the dark corners of Berlin in 2006. Formed by Eugen “Impurus” Herbst initially as a one-man side project, the band’s ominous debut was recorded in 2009 with singer Lars Kaeding. Following Kaeding’s death however, the band stepped into the shadows for the next three years. With a lingering fire and purpose, Herbst continued to write for ALBEZ DUZ and, after an exhaustive search, crossed paths with Alfonso Brito whose voice seemed destined for the project. In September 2014, the duo brought the band’s second album The Coming Of Mictlan to life via Iron Bonehead Records and Archaic Sound. They began performing live shortly after. ALBEZ DUZ — old High German for “swan” (albez) and “noisiness” or “rush” (duz) — has since shared the stage with iconic acts such as Primordial and Swans as well as other rising talent including Bölzer, Ascension, and Hexvessel. In a short time, the Berliners established themselves as a force in the European underground and elicited high praise from both critics and audiences alike. ALBEZ DUZ recently completed its third full-length album, the thundering Wings Of Tzinacan, at The Source Studios Munich with producer and audio engineer Michael Zech (Secrets Of The Moon, Triptykon, Ascension etc.) at the helm. Guitarist Julia Neuman has joined their ranks, solidifying the band as an unstoppable power trio. With a twilight performance at the prestigious Speckjaga Funkenflug Festival already checked off the band’s list in 2016, and other appearances scheduled, ALBEZ DUZ is burning its flame higher and brighter, ready to cast a spell on the globe and initiate a new chapter in doom. The gates are open! Fans of Saint Vitus, Count Raven, Tiamat, Hawkwind, Jex Thoth, Pentagram, and the like have been warned.

TAD was a mighty force in the late-'80s/early-'90s Seattle scene. Their heavy, churning rock/metal/punk buzz was a crucial part of Sub Pop's early years, and, along with peers like Mudhoney, Nirvana, and Soundgarden, they defined the sound that reinvigorated the rock world in the early '90s. TAD was led by the physically imposing yet incredibly sweet singer/guitarist TAD Doyle, with bassist Kurt Danielson (ex-Bundle of Hiss), drummer Steve Wied, and guitarist Gary Thorstensen. With an image that sometimes cast the band as deranged lumberjacks, and influence from Head of David and Killdozer, TAD put a uniquely rain-and-fog-coated Northwest spin on '80s underground rock. The band released two albums and a few EPs on Sub Pop between 1988 and 1991, all of which are now lovingly remastered by the band's friend and engineer Jack Endino (Soundgarden, Nirvana, Mudhoney, Screaming Trees) and repackaged with bonus tracks and expansive liner notes. God's Balls, TAD's punishing, noise-drenched debut album, was recorded with Jack Endino at Reciprocal Recording in Seattle in 1988, and released early the following year. In addition to their usual arsenal of guitars, bass, and drums, the band employed a variety of unusual instruments - an empty gas tank from a car, a hacksaw, a large brass tube from a microwave transmitter, CB radio mics, a cello bow used on cymbals to emulate guitar feedback - to thunderous effect, adding a Neubauten-esque clang to the band's rock riffs. After releasing God's Balls, TAD flew to Europe with Nirvana for both bands' first European tour. The now-legendary, month-long tour took the bands to the UK, Ireland, Scotland, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Italy, Denmark and Sweden. This reissue of God's Balls features CD bonus tracks from TAD's 1988 debut 7", plus the previously unreleased "Tuna Car" from the 7" session. God's Balls has been out of print on LP/CD for many years, and this is its first digital release.

Peaceville Records is proud to announce the signing of US blackened noise occultists T.O.M.B. for the release of their impending Fury Nocturnus album, currently set for release on 21st October 2016. Through 18 years of existence, T.O.M.B. (Total Occultic Mechanical Blasphemy) has created a multitude of horrific, spell-binding sound structures across thirteen different releases including compilations, splits, EPs and LPs. During that time, the project has devoted itself to developing material with an essence directly derived from areas and elements associated with death, paranormal activity and occult practices. Formed in 1998, & inspired by projects such as Abruptum, Havohej, Samael, Sunno))) and Wardruna, T.O.M.B. members No-One, B. Zimimay and Samantha Viola – the trio also notable as King Dude-signed act Dreadlords – orchestrated their latest recordings into thirteen hypnotic and malicious tracks, resulting in a ritualistic album outside of the boundaries of contemporary Ambient, Doom, Industrial, Noise or traditional Black Metal music. When creating these field recording soundscapes, certain necromantic instrumentation was used: human and animal bone, cemetery crypt doors, tombstones and coffins, and audio EVP equipment. Key musicians contributing their craft throughout Fury Nocturnus are legendary drummer Hellhammer of Mayhem, shaman doom guitarist John Litchko of Goreaphobia/Necrotion & the mighty death industrial noise artist Grant Richardson from the project GNAWED, along with famous sound engineer Alan Douches of West Westside studios in New York. With Unexpected Gift, Kick Joneses are making themselves and us the gift of a new level of songwriting, texting, singing an arranging. What is striking is the volitionally eclectic approach.
