2nd press limited to 1000 copies on red vinyl. Uffe Lorenzen (alias Lorenzo Woodrose) is the frontman of Baby Woodrose and Spids Nogenhat but from now on he will be recording and performing under his own name and be singing in Danish. The first result is the new solo album Galmandsværk due out November 10th which was conceived during a vacation on the small volcanic island Gomera near the coast of Marocco where he stayed in a small room doing nothing but writing new songs for 10 weeks. Uffe Lorenzen: "I was given the opportunity to travel for a few months last winter and decided to spend a lot of time looking at the ocean and writing songs in Danish. I think I have found my own method and perhaps even a more personal angle than before. I still think writing in Danish is a challenge, but I feel that the more honest expression deserves a more honest packaging, so the name Lorenzo Woodrose, which was really designed for people outside of Denmark to be able to pronounce my name when we started out, suddenly felt oddly superficial". Galmandsværk (loosely translates to "act of madness") contains 10 songs that goes in many directions and sounds as if Baby Woodrose, Spids Nogenhat and Dragontears merged and turned into something new. The sound of the album is mostly acoustic with many exotic instruments such as sitar, tablas, bansuri, hurdy gurdy, violin and of cource doses of fuzz. Uffe Lorenzen: "I think I have reached a point where I have to find new ways to do things to keep the process interesting and motivate myself. This time, writing in Danish was just one challenge out of many, as we also tried to keep instrumentation mostly to acoustic instruments and purposefully avoided the usual pitfalls by starting all tracks with a simple recording of vocal and guitar instead of rockdrums and guitarsolos. It has taken the album to a very different universe than anything else I've done in the past". Galmandsværk has been recorded with an analogue approach. The whole album is recorded and mixed on tape which means no cut and paste and no use of pro-tools. The album is produced by Uffe Lorenzen, Anders Onsberg and Anders Kjærsgaard in the wonderful STC studio in Copenhagen and mastered by Flemming Rasmussen at Sweet Silence. First print of the LP is limited to a 1000 copies on black vinyl.

Narcosatanicos is a noise rock group from Aarhus, Denmark. Formed in early 2012, the cacophonous sextet draws on various influences from late 60's proto-punk and krautrock to more recent variants of avant-garde and aggressive music. Body Cults is their second album and it is due out November 4th on Bad Afro Records. Body Cults sounds a bit like if you accidently opened the gates to hell and was met by a wall of psychotic psychedelic noise rock made by Satan himself. It's a sonic mindfuck fueled on bad acid, paranoia and distortion. Three guitars, bass, drums and a saxophone player who must have spent his entire life listening to Fun House by The Stooges makes up this chaotic band and yet there is reason to be found somewhere in this vicious attack on your senses. Their intense live presence has garnered Narcosatanicos a notable reputation in the Scandinavian underground and the band has toured in several European countries and played lauded sets at major festivals like Roskilde Festival in Denmark, Oya in Norway and Eurosonic in the Netherlands. One reason why Narcosatanicos can sound like a bad trip could be their rehearsal room. During World War II the basement was a factory used to make chemicals and if you bring a Geiger counter to the rehearsal room today it will tell you that it is still radioactive. No shit. Body Cults is recorded and mixed at Sonic Studio by Thomas Mee and Victor Kim and the album is mastered by Flemming Rasmuseen at Sweet Silence. Artwork by Gregory Jacobsen. "Vile" has been chosen as the single/video and is due out September 29th. Long before psychedelic music had a revival frontman Lorenzo Woodrose and his band came up with their own mix of psych, garage and stoner rock which they have refined during the years. The new album is called Freedom and is due out September 16th 2016 on Bad Afro Records. Freedom is the 7th album by Baby Woodrose and is released more than four years after the previous album Third Eye Surgery came out in 2012. In the meantime Lorenzo has been busy with his other band Spids Nogenhat who gained a lot of popularity in Denmark and won two Danish Grammies for the album "Kommer Med Fred". Best rock album of the year and Best live band of the year. The title Freedom reflects on the current state of our society and how it affects us all. Consciously or not. The album introduces the modern slave song. Lorenzo Woodrose: "The inspiration for the album came from the title track, a cover we have been playing around with for about a year. Mostly known for the version Richie Havens improvised on Woodstock in 1969, it is actually a much older song, known as a gospel tune, a negro spiritual or a "slave song". This expression gave me the idea to write modern day slave songs, so all the songs on the new album deal with mind control, brainwash, hamster wheels, slavery and oppression". All Baby Woodrose albums have a different vibe and this time there has been an analogue approach to recording the nine songs. The whole album is recorded and mixed on tape, givng it a very rockband live-in-the-studio type of feel. This means no cut and paste and a minimal amount of overdubs. The album is produced by Anders Onsberg and Baby Woodrose in the STC studio in Copenhagen and mastered by Flemming Rasmussen at Sweet Silence. On March 21th Baby Woodrose will release a compilation album of vinyl 7" b-sides and rarities collected from various releases from the past 13 years. Besides b-sides and split singles released on Bad Afro Records the album includes b-sides from singles released on Swedish, French, Norwegian and Greek record labels. It also includes a cover of "Beat City" by The Raveonettes. Most of the songs were recorded by the original line-up of Lorenzo Woodrose (vocals/guitar), The Moody Guru (bass) and Fuzz Daddy (drums). That goes for the self-released debut 7" on Pan Records which originally was released in only 300 copies. The two songs - 6654321 and That's How Strong My Love Is - comes from the very first studio session Baby Woodrose did as a band, only a few months after the release of the Blows Your Mind album which Lorenzo Woodrose released on his own. The probably most interesting session included here is five songs recorded pretty much live in the Black Tornado studio during the making of the Chasing Rainbows album in late 2007. It was the last recording by the original line-up but the songs never made the album but ended up as b-sides instead. The first five songs on the album documents that session. This collection of songs from the 14 7" singles Baby Woodrose have released so far is made for the fans who don't collect vinyl singles or are not willing to fork over the cash for the often rare and expensive singles of which most are deleted years ago. First edition on LP is limited to a 1000 copies on black vinyl.

The album is called Comedown and will be released as LP (first 500 copies includes a free CD of the entire album) and download. Expect feedback-ridden psychedelic rock as well as slow heavy psych. The Telstar Sound Drone formed in 2007 when Hans Beck convinced Mads Saaby to join him in a project called Les Aprés L'amour Sonnes, an artist collective working with media such as sound and video. The first project was to add sound to old educational movies, playing along with the projections. With the addition of Sean Jardenbæk the project turned into a band and settled with the name The Telstar Sound Drone. The band recorded a self-titled EP that led to a show at Roskilde Festival in 2009. After that The Telstar Sound Drone took a break while internal problems almost destroyed the band. At one point Hans Beck was the only member of the band playing all the instruments. The problems were solved and in spring 2011 they released the Mirror Pieces 7" on Bad Afro. It has taken some time for the band to finally get Comedown finished which is also due to fact that Hans Beck and Mads Saaby also play in Baby Woodrose and have been touring Europe a lot for the past couple of years. Satellited is the first single from Comedown due to be released April 8th. The Telstar Sound Drone line-up is: Sean Jardenbæk (Vocals, Guitar), Mads Saaby (Guitar) and Hans Beck (Drums). LP and download. The Setting Son have finished the recordings of their third album. It's entitled Before I Eat My Eyes & Ears and will be released October 8th, 2012 on Bad Afro Records. The Setting Son started out as a solo project for Sebastian T.W. Kristiansen who recorded more than 50 songs in his flat in Copenhagen on his 4-track tape recorder. Lorenzo Woodrose from Baby Woodrose got hold of the tapes and handed them over to Bad Afro who released the first two albums with Lorenzo Woodrose as producer. The Setting Son have since then become a real band with their own take on psychedelic garage pop that is both blue-eyed and bittersweet. The songwriter Sebastian T.W. Kristiansen has an ear for good tunes and his characteristic voice and songwriting skills makes The Setting Son stand out among the many bands today who are inspired by psychedelic music from the 60s. Before I Eat My Eyes & Ears is more varied than the early material and more time has been spend on the details this time. The album is produced by Sebastian T.W. Kristiansen and The Setting Son in the Orangeriet studio in Copenhagen and the result is a more mature record that showcases another side of their talent. Before I Eat My Eyes & Ears will be released as LP and download. First print of the LP is limited to 500 copies and will include a free CD of the entire album. Above the Rest has been chosen as the first single/video from the album and will be released online August 27th, 2012. The cover is a self-portrait of Sebastian T.W. Kristiansen.
