Their 10th full length album called MÄNNERFREUNDSCHAFTEN UND METAPHYSIK (eng: Male Friendships and Metaphysics) is once again a collaboration record - this time with fellow countryman and experimental guitarist N (Hellmut Neidhardt). The eight pieces on the album are based on freely improvised studio sessions and have all been recorded live, with a few overdubs added by SANKT OTTEN later. SANKT OTTEN's Denovali labelmate N - for whom this album is release nr. 47 - is well-known for Noise, Ambient and Drone sounds standing apart from classical song writing. The aim of this collaboration was to combine the perspectives of the genres of both partners, with N adding a grave and menacing mood to SANKT OTTEN's Electronica and Kraut Rock and SANKT OTTEN providing the sound walls of N with an unusual dynamics

Recorded partly in Senegal with local musicians playing traditional instruments, "Landscapes Of The Unfinished" is Piano Interrupted's 3rd album for German experimental label Denovali. This album sees pianist Tom Hodge and "electronician" Franz Kirmann explore a more introspective approach to their sound. The sonorities and recordings the pair brought back from West Africa are deconstructed, mangled and texturised, turned into a pointillist landscape until only a faint and distant souvenir remains. These beds of pulsating soundscapes and earthy textures serve as base for Hodge's delicate piano phrases and intricate compositions, interlaced with long-time collaborator Tim Fairhall's fluid double bass playing. Harsher territories are also visited during the 9 tracks that compose the LP;
fuzzy Senegalese radio voices and the distant memory of African percussion collide with distorted bass and buzzing drones or screaming textures battle with screeching double bass sounds and tortured piano strings.

It is a continuation of exploring, written on a grid of time by constructing auditive scenes. Technically the album was composed using noise generators, home-made modular synthesizers and experiments with voltages - in short, by combining analogue and digital technology. The album is complimentary to the previous three albums and their logical continuation at the same time. Focused on the animated world of sound, van Dijk transmits celestial soundwaves to discover new uncharted sonic territories. He sends a time capsule out into a fictional space, exploring the unknown and placing sonic beacons which create eerie soundscapes and detailed textures. Together with airy pads and dark shuffling rhythms, these elements form dynamic sequences which display the sonic and embody the thematic evolution of the Multicast Dynamics project. Throughout the four-album series, van Dijk crossed more and more sonic layers, slowly zooming out from a microscopic to a macroscopic scale. Having started to play classical piano at an early age, he now mainly composes electronic, experimental and film music. His debut "Feed The Tape" is strongly influenced by Classical Minimal Music. Especially the compository methods of Steve Reich such as phase variations, looping and imitation enter Hentschel's work. However, these methods serve as characteristic compository elements rather than being in the focus of the pieces. The loop, which often is the starting point of one of Hentschels works, usually plays the role of a constant sound substrate on which harmonic-melodic elements can thrive.
