Publishing e.K. Almost exactly after 35 years, TRANCE returned to the Rockport Records home location and signed a new contract with their discoverer label of 1980 (including "BREAK OUT", "POWER INFUSION" &
"VICTORY"). The original members Markus Berger (guitar &
main-songwriter) and Tom Klein (bass) are happy to be back in the arms of their old label boss Bernd Gruber. During the Dirkschneider support tour in Nuremberg, the signing ceremony between the newly registered band and label chef Bernd Gruber came to an end at the end of December 2016. The new album "The Loser Strikes Back" will be released on the Rockport label via Rough Trade Records on March 31, TRANCE - Almost a legend On 22.12.1981, ie 35 years ago, the then still unknown heavy formation TRANCE signed their record contract at ROCKPORT. In 1982 the debut album "BREAK OUT" was released, and the press was enthusiastic;
Concerts with already known heavy bands followed. Just one year later, "POWER INFUSION" appeared with the highest praise from MusikExpress to Bravo. At the time of publication 10,000 copies had already been sold, and this was a great number for a second album. The popularity grew quickly, and after the undisputed SCORPIONS and ACCEPT they were already in 3rd place of the heavy bands. In France, Benelux and Scandinavia followed, TRANCE's "POWER INFUSION" was ranked 3rd in the import charts of the magazine SOUNDS / England, 2 places before Accept and 3 before Journey, and also in the English magazine KERRANG they landed 3 and thus a place in front of Gary Moore and 4 ahead of Motörhead. A single and a picture disc were released and a video shot, at that time still a huge thing with 16 mm TV cameras. Great exports to England and the USA were the result. The album "VICTORY" was recorded and published in the Dirks recording studio in 1984. The group was dissolved for the first time by great differences of opinion between producer, management and band. Today, 30 years later, TRANCE is still one of the highlights of the Heavy Rock of the 80s, and their records still sell regularly. With the original members Markus Berger (guitar &
principal songwriter) and Thomas Klein (bass), TRANCE present their new, powerful line-up (Andreas "Neudi" Neuderth from Manilla Road at the drums, Joe Strubel, AC / ID The American Eddie St. James plays the second guitar), which has been found in the course of 2016. The new CD "The Loser Strikes Back" was recorded in the VPS studio under the auspices of Charly Czajkowski (including Rage, Subsignal, 21 Octayne) in Hamm. A special highlight is that the track "Loser" from the first disc "BREAK OUT" was recorded again in a 2017 version. Live can be expected from many TRANCE classics.
