Along with Heavy Load, Mercy were the most memorable early pioneers of the Swedish heavy metal scene. With their first releases strongly influenced by NWOBHM, the joining of singer Messiah Marcolin took the band's sound towards heavier and more obscure pastures. Witchburner is the band's only album with the future Candlemass star on vocals, and it is also arguably their heaviest and most doom-influenced. Strongly recommended for anyone into classic 80's doom metal! The Svart reissue is limited to 300 copies on black and 200 on silver vinyl. The LP comes with an insert.

Goatess are Chritus, Niklas, Kenta and Findus from Sweden. Despite having no records out on the market band has already created a massive buzz and appeared on prestigious festivals such as Doom Shall Rise in Germany, with more live appearances on the horizon.Swedish cult doom metal vocalist Chritus Linderson (Count Raven, Saint Vitus, Terra Firma) has, after a few years off the grid, experienced a strong return to form in the new millennium. Best known nowadays for belting out classic doom metal at the helm of Lord Vicar, he has also been nurturing a more homegrown project which began under the working title Weekend Beast and developed into Goatess. The concept was born from Niklas & Linderson's desire to, as opposed to the strictly structured doom metal of Lord Vicar, create music that is based on the atmosphere and the worship of the heavy riff. "It is basically the kind of music we would like the most to listen to ourselves", says Linderson, "Our sound is constantly under investigation, an ongoing process...What´s there so far comes naturally when jamming at rehearsals and we´ll just go with it until we are content." Goatess manage to carve a unique niche for themselves in the overpopulated doom metal scene by grabbing some doom influences, taking them out to the desert and throwing them to the melting pot with some repetitive stoner groove in the vein of Sleep and Kuyss. The result of these dangerous psychedelic experiments is the self-titled debut album, which hits the streets on July 15th.

Box set, colored vinyl, ltd to 350 Finnish occult psychedelic drone doom metal group Dark Buddha Rising are drenched in deep mystery, with no biographical information available. Described by Roadburn Festival as "sprawling dirge of doom metal and myriad cryptic incantations luring the listener into a trance of doom-induced sensory depravation", the band have released three self-financed full length albums (Ritual IX, Entheomorphosis, Abyssolute Transfinite) on vinyl only. The time has come for the fourth Dark Buddha opus Dakhmandal, for which the band chose to employ the services of the eclectic Finnish label Svart Records. Dakhmandal, the new album of the drone metal necromancers can be described as oppressive and circular. Due to the nature of the work it will be released primarily as a triple 12 inch EP. "To walk the ethereal soil on the banks leading unto the stone tower as last breath view we would collapse as humanly tissue, overwhelmed by the final light that seizes us at the end of the world to transform all living that was unliving the torments as timesands cascaded, unknowing of the now unveiled source that flow to overcome confines of flesh particles as seen through the eyes to witness them worldly. The obsessive trait became at an early age from what would seem like truthfabrics bleeding through the cracks between cellwalls, alive in vast nothingnesses surrounding scarce specifics of illusional matter that would float in brightness excesses, ascending to unflinching gaze-in as quest that became to level the endless plains in sight as unified with the fluid surfaces of the endoplasmic waves."

Ltd to 300, gatefold, black vinyl One of the biggest cult classics of Maryland doom metal available on vinyl at last! Released on the classic Hellhound label in 1993, a year after the demo Voyage (also available on LP from Svart) The album resulted in an US tour with doom pioneers Saint Vitus. For some reason neither Hellhound nor Nuclear Blast USA who licenced it for US distribution never pressed it on vinyl. The Svart vinyl edition of Standing on the Sun comes in a gatefold jacket and is mastered on 45 rounds per minute on virgin vinyl.
