This official 20th anniversary release marks the vinyl debut of Mordicus' debut album "Dances From Left", originally release by Thrash Records on CD in 1993. As an added bonus the package also features an exact replica of the band's debut 7" EP "Three Way Dissection" from 1992. "Despite 20 years of close scrutiny since its release, it is still easy to say Mordicus' Dances from Left was one of those groundbreaking releases that, along other early Finnish Death Metal albums such as Sentenced's Shadows of the Past, Convulse's World without God, Funebre's Children of the Scorn and Demigod's Slumber of Sullen Eyes, built up the solid foundation for all that what was to come. Dances from Left, along with others, allowed the Finnish Death Metal scene to stand shoulder to shoulder with the worldwide phenomenon knows as "Swedish Death Metal." Mordicus were hungry and set out to make the sort of extraordinary gurgling and mind-piercing noises that would separate them from our comrades in crime to the west. Mordicus cleverly and skillfully fused elements from both Finnish dark, wrist-cutting, eerie-tinged and sorrowful Death Metal and the Swedish type of murky, utterly down-tuned and heavy Död Metall (ála Therion, Dismember, Unleashed, etc.) on Dances from Left without compromising the raging Death Metal bombardment of all things vicious and neck-snapping. Thrash Records, according to some sources, released only a single, 1500 copy press run of Dances from Left, which sold out quickly. So, what better way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of that legendary album than to give it a proper vinyl release in 2013? Although known for wider audience as the founder and the main song writer of REVEREND BIZARRE, THE PURITAN and OPIUM WARLORDS, and the vocalist of SPIRITUS MORTIS, AZRAEL RISING and TÄHTIPORTTI, Sami Albert "Witchfinder" Hynninen has his roots in the most extreme, experimental, and avantgarde areas of music. The original recording sessions of the two compositions - OUR LOVE BECOMES A FUNERAL PYRE and NO LOVE LOST;
meant to constitute the MARCH 15 e.p. -took place on the Valentine's Day, February 14, 2004, in the suffocative atmosphere of a northern Finnish town Tornio (birthplace of a legendary HC band TERVEET KÄDET), with Vesa Karppinen of a local heavy metal band FALL OF THE IDOLS.The e.p. was not released until 2008, and even then only in Chile, as a poor quality CD version. Now, exactly 10 years after the original sessions, this material finally gets a release of its worth through Svart Records, remastered and expanded with a whole B-side of a new exclusive material, written and recorded in 2010 and 2013. 20th Adversary of Emptiness contains everything Demilich have ever recorded, starting from Regurgitation of Blood demo (1991) and rounding things off with three songs the band recorded during their brief comeback in 2006. The only Demilich full lenght album Nespithe has been reissued several times over the years in various guises, but always using the inferior 16-bit CD masters and sometimes brickwalled beyond recognition. For this release we dug up the original unmastered 24 bit studio tapes for Nespithe and best possible sources for the demo material, and then had Sami Jämsén of Studio Perkele thoroughly clean everything up and create new masters. This is Demilich as you've never heard it before. Nespithe LP is wrapped in the original Turkka Rantanen cover art, lovingly restored, and a new artwork by Mr Rantanen adorns the box itself. For the demo compilation cover the band commissioned new art from renowned underground artists David Mikkelsen and Johnny Maddox, inspired by Demilich lyricals. Mikkelsen's art also comes as a poster in the package. The booklet features a long Q&A session between Olivier 'Zoltar' Badin and Antti Boman plus lyrics, song commentary and a plethora of assorted interviews and reviews spanning two decades

They brought danger back to rock'n'roll, fusing it with the rougher edge of metal and intelligent lyrics with carefree ease and just a dash of black humour to balance the weighty themes drawn from worlds of occultism, diabology, and occidental history. They called it "a shotgun marriage of Heaven and Hell" back in the day, and the mixture has lost none of its potency. Quite the opposite: predating the present occult rock boom by over a decade, the Whores have been rightly recognised as one of the great originals of the late nineties, and in the intervening years demand for reprints of their trailblazing albums has grown exponentially. Svart Records is proud to present a carefully curated box set containing all the available Babylon Whores material ranging from obscure demos and compilation appearances to the three-full length albums on six slabs of pitch-black, Mithraic oxblood red and silverygrey brilliance. Completing the box is a 100-page book with many rare photographs including unused promo shots, interviews, and an indepth band history by Mikko Mattila of Isten 'zine documenting the entirety of the unusual and rather colourful career of the band all the way to their legendary 'secret' gigs in later years. Many contemporaries, label-mates and folks otherwise connected with Babylon Whores chip in with their reminiscences and assessments of the Babylonian legacy, including current and ex-members of bands such as Mayhem, The Black League, Sunn O))), Hexvessel, Endvra, Saturnalia Temple, Therion, Deathchain, & more. In 2012, the Finnish doom-death scene saw newcomer KUOLEMANLAAKSO ascend directly to the ranks of its elite with the critically acclaimed SVART debut Uljas uusi maailma, which reached #42 on the Official Finnish Album Chart and #6 on the Rumba Chart. In support of Uljas uusi maailma, KUOLEMANLAAKSO toured its native country, hitting some of Finland's biggest and most respected clubs, then adding a performance at the 2013 Tuska Open Air Festival. Feeding off of this momentum, KUOLEMANLAAKSO planned new material on the road and entered a secret, secluded location in the forests of Finland, once again with acclaimed producer/engineer/guitarist V. Santura (Woodshed Studios, Dark Fortress, Celtic Frost, Triptykon). In the course of writing and recording, it was soon made obvious that KUOLEMANLAAKSO had not only enough material for a full-length album, but for an EP, as well. "Our goal was to create the tightest and most balanced entities for both releases. The EP introduces our current style in a more straightforward and shorter form, whereas the full-length evolved into something more epic," states guitarist/keyboardist and main songwriter Laakso.
