Debut album by progressive rock supergroup Asia, released in March of 1982. Asia presents a hook-heavy blend of progressive rock and arena rock, and was massively successful on release, reaching #1 on the Billboard charts, becoming the #1 album in the United States for the year, as well as spawning a Top 10 hit ([m=94358]) and a Top 20 hit ([m=94359]). "[m=289868]" was also released as a single, but missed the Billboard Top 10, although it reached #10 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart. Despite not being released as singles, "Wildest Dreams", "Time Again" (which was released as a B-Side), and "Here Comes The Feeling" reached #28, #43 and #40 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart. Music videos were created for all three singles, as well as "Wildest Dreams", despite not being released as a single. A 30th Anniversary Boxed Set Re-issue of the album adds "Ride Easy", the b-side to "Heat Of The Moment", as a bonus track, as well as a DVD documentary about the band and several live unplugged appearances.
