Public Image Ltd (PiL) release their 10th studio album "What The World Needs Now...". The 11-track album follows the huge critical success of 2012's "This is PiL", the band's first album in 17 years. Album opener and lead single "Double Trouble" sees the band launching into a statement of intent. Commenting on the new album, John Lydon says, "Buy now while stocks last." Widely regarded as one of the most innovative and influential bands of all time, PiL's music and vision earned them 5 UK Top 20 singles and 5 UK Top 20 albums. With a shifting line-up and unique sound, John Lydon guided the band from their debut album "First Issue" in 1978 through to 1992's "That What Is Not". After a 17 year hiatus, Lydon reactivated PiL in 2009 by taking them back on the road worldwide. Lou Barlow has announced a new solo album, Brace the Wave. His first solo release in six years, it comes as a follow-up to 2009's Goodnight Unknown and marks the third release under his own name. You can hear snippets of various album tracks -- along with commentary from Barlow himself -- in a new album trailer streaming below. The album is currently available for pre-order via iTunes , with a special Dom Mart only version featuring an original Lou Barlow Polaroid "selfie" inserted into the artwork. Barlow's extensive and celebrated discography includes releases from Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh, Folk Implosion, and his first solo endeavour, Sentridoh. Most comfortable writing uncomfortable songs, Brace the Wave finds the songwriter exploring yet another transitional period in his life. Tracks like “Redeemed”," "Wave," and "Moving" employ his early methods of tuning his ukulele down low and writing during the recording process, while album tracks "Lazy" and "C&E" are traditional-style folk songs that he performed live in the studio. Widowspeak has grown up in a lot of ways.
