1998 Performance Broadcast Recorded For The Storytellers Series In early 1998, Stevie Nicks was approached by Warner Music to release a solo career-spanning box set, to conclude her contract with Atlantic Records in the US. After the culmination of Fleetwood Mac s reunion tour, in which she had taken part, Stevie settled down in Los Angeles with close friends and colleagues to devise a track-list for the upcoming three-disc collection. Enchanted was released to critical acclaim on April 28, 1998, with liner notes by Nicks herself, as well as exclusive rare photographs, and pages from her journals. She supported the collection with a successful US tour. Fittingly, on 18th August 98, she performed a superb show for VH1 s Storytellers series whereby popular artists would relate the tales behind a number of their most popular compositions, in front of a small audience, and then, of course, perform the song in question. For Stevie s episode, fans were allowed to ask her questions too. Previously unreleased, this CD now features the full set Stevie Nicks performed that night, and with a set list that includes some of the girl s finest tunes, all played in arrangements unique to the event, this release will prove a delight for fans of this enduring performer, musician and writer.

CLASSIC ACOUSTIC BROADCAST RECORDING FROM 1996 THE B.S.B CONCERT Following Pearl Jam s tour in support of their 1994 album Vitalogy, the band went into the studio to record its follow-up, No Code. Eddie Vedder said later, Making No Code was all about gaining perspective. Released in August 1996, the record was initially seen as a deliberate break from the band's traditional sound, which they had employed since their debut, Ten, in 1991. Although the album debuted at number one on the Billboard charts, it quickly fell from the top spot; featuring the singles Who You Are , Hail, Hail , and Off He Goes , Pearl Jam only toured sporadically in its wake, largely due to their refusal at this juncture to play in Ticketmaster's venue areas. A European tour did take place in the fall of 1996 however, and on their return to the US Pearl Jam performed at Neil Young s Bridge School Benefit Concert on 19th & 20th October. The third time, since its inception a decade before, that the group had performed at this worthy charity show, their performance across the two days - both sets are included here - are long felt to be among the best acoustic shows Pearl Jam ever performed.

The record was well received by fans and critics alike, with the Village Voice’s Robert Christgau writing, "If his solo career produced a masterwork on the scale of whatever VU album you prefer, this de facto farewell is it." The Ecstasy Tour began in New York on 31st March 2000 and took in shows in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia. On 24th April, Lou and band played at the Philipshalle, in Düsseldorf, Germany, where they put on an extraordinary show which was recorded for both FM radio broadcast and for TV transmission. Featuring the majority of the new album plus a smattering of cuts from previous records, with only a one-cut nod to the Velvet Underground, and the same number of what most casual fans would consider a solo-classic, it was clear that Reed was so proud of his recent work that he was standing by it almost alone throughout his first tour of the new millennium. Previously unreleased, this superb recording is now available on vinyl (Volumes 1 and 2) for the first time, and is sure to prove a delight for fans of the great man around the globe

Superb Bowie Performance From The Earthling Tour David Bowie s 20th studio album was originally released in February 1997 on Arista Records. Earthling showcased an electronica-influenced sound partly inspired by the industrial and drum and bass culture of the 1990s. It was the first album Bowie self-produced since 1974 s Diamond Dogs. The Earthling Tour started on 7 June 1997 at Flughafen Blankensee in Lübeck, Germany, continuing through Europe and North America before reaching a conclusion in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 7 November 1997. On August 14, 97, Bowie performed at Hungary s Student Island Festival in Budapest, where he put on a quite extraordinary show, accompanied as he was by Reeves Gabrels on guitar, Gail Ann Dorsey on bass, Zack Alford on drums and Mike Garson on keyboards. Playing just a few tracks from the new record plus a fine selection of back catalogue gems, the entire show was broadcast, both across Eastern Europe and indeed in the US too on selected FM stations.

BEE GEES TELEVISION BROADCAST FROM THE MID-1970s As disco gained popularity in the US from the mid-1970 s onwards, with artist such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Heatwave and Rose Royce achieving sizeable hits, the Gibb brothers decided to move to Miami, and from there hone their extraordinary craft in that direction. In 1975, The Bee Gees released Main Course, which included their second US No1, the infectious Jive Talking , as well as ever popular Nights on Broadway . Rolling Stone called it the best sounding Bee Gees album ever at the time, and it indeed opened the door for the siblings to be accepted into the genre, despite being three white boys from Manchester. Following the release of the record, the group began a five month tour across the USA and Canada, during which, on the last date of the US leg, they played the PBS TV show Soundstage , recorded in Chicago, IL on 11th July 75. Performing a set brimming with hits old and new, interspersed with band interviews, chat and a remarkable spot when the trio re-visits the songs they had performed in the late 1950s as youngsters in The Rattlesnakes, the show was an enormous success. This CD features the entirety of this performance alongside eight bonus cuts recorded in Melbourne the year before.
