LP is Gatefold sleeve and black vinyl. LONE WOLF began life in 2009 in various dusty rooms and tape studios around Sweden where Paul Marshall (aka LONE WOLF) pulled his songs and ideas slowly together with the assistance of Kristofer Jonson from Jeniferever. After a month of various field recordings, sneaking into concert halls late at night to use the piano, setting up their gear in small village churches, and other places they could find, the basic album tracks were done. The resulting album, "The Devil And I", LONE WOLF's debut, was released on Bella Union in mid-2010 to welcome arms. A new singer-songwriter to behold was born that day. A year followed of Paul sharpening his teeth on the road, looking for a leaner, more focussed sound; one he could truly call his own. Sharing stages across the UK, USA and Europe alongside friends and fellow sonic sculptors Wild Beasts, Radiohead's Phil Selway, The Invisible and more and playing both solo and with a full band, the seeds of LONE WOLF's second chapter were sewn. Throughout 2011 Paul meticulously crafted a new creative template he could draw from, pooling all his experience thus far into a new melting pot; with the aim of creating music free of immediate categorisation. He called upon the talents once again of engineer James Kenosha and producer Jon Fougler to make an experimental yet definitive statement of an artist willing to push his own boundaries and also an audience's pre-conceptions. Putting narrative and his powerful vocals front and centre, the rest of the sonic canvas was free to paint as was his will. The first fruits of this labour comes in the form of "The Lovers". Using powerful percussion, Paul's adept skills on 6-string (electric) guitar and the soaring backing vocals of XL Recordings' Blue Roses, "The Lovers" is a lean lover and fighter of a record, stripping back the role and sound of a singer songwriter and heading into a territory that only the likes of Mark Hollis have dared tread. Finlands Aki Latvamäki, sometimes known as Artificial Latvamäki, steps up for Halo Cyans final release of 2012, the It Is Not Now Either EP. Latvamäki has previously released tracks on Cocoon, Clone, and Curle. The EPs title track is actually Latvamäkis own edit of its original version, a track which was heavily supported by Ellen Allien (showing up in her seminal Fabric mix) and James Zabiela among others. Presented here as his Organic Disco Edit, the tune is transformed into a truly epic techno opus of anthemic proportions, clocking in at over 10 minutes in length. B-side Now A Series Of flexes Latvamäkis experimental tendencies in a paranoid thump awash with subliminal impulses. UK rising star Max Cooper closes out the record with his Sub Dub version of the title track, applying scientifically-precise rations of bass, peppered with the touches of glitch and trance which characterize his own highly original productions. As they say, life will find its way. Named after one of the lowest, driest and hottest places on Earth, Kuolemanlaakso ("Death Valley") took its first breath in the Spring of 2010. The band originally started out as a one-man project of guitarist Laakso (Chaosweaver). Much influenced by "Eparistera Daimones" of Triptykon, Laakso's mission was to create an utterly dark and heavy album, full of catchy hooks and originality: a tragically beautiful world all its own. It was clear from the start that the lyrics would be recited in Finnish. They were inspired by Eino Leino's (1878-1926) poem collection "Helkavirsiä," the mystique of the Finnish forests, and the morbidity of the modern world.The feedback from an unreleased four-song demo recording was so overwhelmingly positive from fellow musicians that Laakso decided to recruit some of them and thus make Kuolemanlaakso a fully operating five-head outfit. Eruption is the third and final full-length album by German experimental music trio Kluster. It is also the only live recording issued by Kluster. Eruption was recorded in 1971 at the last concert performed by Kluster and was recorded by Klaus Freudigmann. Eruption was released with what, according to Conrad Schnitzler, was an incorrect title Kluster und Eruption in 1971 as a private pressing. Only 200 copies of the original LP were pressed and sold. It was reissued as a Conrad Schnitzler solo album under the title Schwarz (literally "Black"), though the contributions by Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius were credited. Eruption is widely considered to be the most listenable Kluster release. It is the only release without spoken religious text. In places the style also begins to resemble the electronic sound heard on early albums by Cluster, the successor to Kluster which came into being after Schnitzler's departure. Each side consists of one long, instrumental, improvisational jam. John Bush, writing the review for Allmusic, describes the music in part as having: "...forbidding violin lines, heavily distorted organ, and an assortment of tape effects leading the way for several minimalist guitar workouts. Sven Kacirek studied drums and marimba at the conservatory in Arnhem/NL, at the Musikhochschule in Hamburg and at the Drummers Collective in New York City. Besides his cooperation with musicians and bands like Hausch- ka, F.S. Blumm, Jan Dvorak, Jan Plewka, Martin Bisi, Alexander Schubert and Uwe Haas, Sven has composed and performed music for modern dance theatre pieces and contemporary ballet. He worked with choreographers like Angela Guerreiro, Filip van Huffel, Antje Pfundtner, Johnny Lloyd among others. In 2009 Sven Kacirek composed the soundtrack of the movie "Five Ways to Dario" by Dario Aguirre. For "The Kenya Sessions", Sven Kacirek traveled through Kenya, equipped with loads of microphones. A pretty solid idea. On "The Kenya Sessions" we find recordings of kenyan Singers and musicians carefully composed to a flow of 15 pieces mixed with Percussion-, Marimba- and Piano-elements. What strikes most while listening is the outstanding quality of the recordings and the accuracy of Sven's work. It's hard to tell which elemnts are added via overdub and what was recorded in Kenya which results in a very organic lis- tening experience. That's when a "drumming kenyan community's welcome ceremony" gently forms into the track "Dear Anastasia" sung by 80 year old kenyan women Ogoya Nengo. Sven's sensitivity for "the gentle tone" which could cast a spell on the listener already on "The Palmin Sessions", gets lifted to a whole new level on this kenyan cooperation Record Label: Altin Village Style: Independent

After living in New York, touring Japan together and now taking full time residency in Berlin, their self-titled EP marks the culmination of roughly four years of staggered yet perpetual collaboration between the duo. The product, as expected, takes the contrasting, complementary colours of their individual visions of electronic dance music and pulls them together into one experience. The alignment of both celebrated producers' music as one creates something altogether new and yet, at the same time, ultimately familiar. Syncopated rhythms and stuttered drum clacks synonymous with the Machinedrum sound perforate the EP, whilst the electro-funk of Edgar's material is layered over the top. First track 'In Her City' is the perfect synergy of this relationship pulling together vocal cuts and soft stabs around an off-kilter, syncopated strut. Next up, 'Sin Love With U' works in much the same way with rising stabs, toppling drums and melodic samples filtering in and out. 'Mue' is filled with moody synth lines, decimated basslines and noodling electronics whilst final track 'Lock Lock Key Key' phases, cuts and pitch-bends its way through a four and a half minute rhythmic workout. Frisk Frugt is the work of a Danish explorer called Anders Lauge Meldgaard: a man who loads up his optimists dinghy full of brass, self-made mechanical instruments and other inspired sound gadgets, and sets sail on musics diverse waves of opportunity. "Dansktoppen..." (apparently translated as "Danish Folk Meets Burkina Faso In The Sky Blue Place That Is The Home Of The Sun Suite") was heavily informed by a long musical journey of discovery undertaken by Anders around the great West African countries of Mali and Burkina Faso, armed with a tape recorder and a workbook. African melody, rhythms and ritual dance meld into pop chaos, elegiac Danish folksong and poetry. Despite only being self-released via his arts collective yoyooyoy in Denmark in 2010, the album was somehow nominated as one of the albums of the year at the By:Larm music conference in Oslo - the Scandinavian equivalent of the Mercury Music Prize. Now seeing release in the UK and Europe via Exotic Pylon, its time for this glorious visonary scramble of sterling song composition, wisely assimilated global influence and giddy improv to make its wider mark. Throwing in snatches of quirky/jerky rock, desert recordings, 21st century buzzes both natural and electronic, high-life guitar, pure pop song and bracing free jazz, its clear that Frisk Frugt finds pleasure in both small details and big gestures.
