The band first emerged during the early 2000s and found success with their debut album The Coral [MOVLP338]. Their self-titled debut album was nominated for the 2002 Mercury Music Prize and later voted the fourth best album of the year by NME Magazine. Magic and Medicine is the second album by The Coral, released in 2003 in the United Kingdom, where it debuted at number 1 in the charts. The singles "Don't Think You're the First" and "Pass It On" entered the top ten in the UK. The album title originates from a lyric in Time Travel, the hidden track on the band's debut album: "Well there's a war going on, ain't the obvious one. It's between magic and medicine". This is The Coral's last album with Bill Ryder-Jones, who departed in 2008 to start a very successful solo-career. The first limited run is pressed on 180 gram laming' yellow &
orange vinyl. Only 1.500 copies are available. This package includes a printed innersleeve and a 4 page booklet with lyrics and photos.

180 GRAM AUDIOPHILE VINYL INCLUDES INSERT FIRST 1.000 NUMBERED COPIES ON SILVER COLORED VINYL The Wipers were a punk rock group formed in Portland, Oregon in 1977 by guitarist/songwriter Greg Sage. The group's tight song structure and use of heavy distortion were hailed as very influential by many critics and musicians alike. The band is considered the first Pacific Northwest punk band. The Circle is their sixth studio album, originally released in 1988. It was released on Restless Records and has been out of press for years. There are a lot of good tunes present on this album. "True Believer" has a great riff balanced on the tempo of the track, and "Make Or Break" is lingering on the powerful guitar play by Sage, which can be identified between thousands. There's lots of other good tunes here as well, especially "I Want a Way", "Goodbye Again", and the title track. "The Circle" might be slow enough to qualify as a ballad, but the track "Be There" is the real tearjerker.

This album was both written and produced by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards of the band Chic. There are three singles released from this album. The first was "Got to Love Somebody" released in 1979 peaked at number six on the R&B/Soul charts. In 1980, The second single "Reach Your Peak" was released;
peaking at #101 on the US Pop charts and #21 on the R&B/Soul charts. "Let's Go on Vacation" reached number sixty-three on the R&B/Soul chart. The latter was to be included on the Chicproduced soundtrack album Soup For One in 1982. Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards again properly kept the emphasis on their harmonies, interaction and vocal flexibility, and provided them with more fine material.

Ananda Shankar is the debut album by the Indian musician, the son of dancer and choreographer Uday Shankar and the nephew of Indian classical musician Ravi Shankar. It was released in 1970 and was among the first works in the rock genre by an Indian musician. Consisting mainly of instrumental recordings featuring sitar and Moog synthesizer, it includes a cover version of the Rolling Stones' 1968 hit song "Jumpin' Jack Flash" and a thirteen-minute Indian-style piece titled "Sagar (The Ocean)". In the decades since the LP's release, "Jumpin' Jack Flash" became a popular club hit, while the album has been recognised for its influence on world music fusion, particularly the East-West styles developed in the UK. It is one of the albums featured in Robert Dimery's book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. In 2005, his song "Raghupati" was used in the game Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories soundtrack.

Struttin' is the third studio album by the funk group The Meters, originally released in 1970. The first single was the song "Chicken Strut". It reached #11 on the U.S. R&B Singles chart. It may not appear to be drastically different than its predecessors, at least not on the surface. After all, the title of the lead single "Chicken Strut" intentionally recalls their previous biggest "Cissy Strut," and it has the same basic Meters groove. And if the essential sound remains unchanged, that's because that organic, earthy funk is The Meters' signature. Other groups have tried to replicate it, but nobody ever played it better. It was on this album The Meters introduced vocals to their style as well, with Art Neville's leads on covers of Ty Hunter's soulful uptown shuffle "Darling, Darling, Darling," Jimmy Webb's groovy ballad "Wichita Lineman," and Lee Dorsey's "Ride Your Pony" (the Meters provided support on the original recording).

It was released in 1971, with the opening song "Diana" being released as a single. The album was notable for its unique blend of progressive rock, folk, psychedelia, and elements of paganism and the macabre. The overall thematic tone of the album is of vulnerable innocence facing abusive power, the songs dealing with violence ("Drip Drip"), rape ("Diana", "Song to Comus"), and insulin shock therapy ("The Prisoner"). These themes contrast starkly with the acoustic sound of the record, featuring acoustic guitar, violin, flute, and lyrical, almost Arcadian, female harmonies. References to Comus by other bands and artists include Opeth, citing its lyrics in album and song titles and tattoos. Experimental outfit Current 93 also covered "Diana" as the opening song on their 1997 LP Horsey. The cover artwork was drawn in ball point pen by Roger Wootton, lead singer and songwriter of the band. The centrefold artwork was painted by guitarist Glenn Goring. Reviews were favourable, such as the NME praised the album's "highly unusual but fascinating sound" and Time Out said "the overall effect is unique".

Still, Safe As Milk is a very strong and heavily blues-influenced work but it also hints on many of the features that would later become the trademarks of Captain Beefheart. A nice fact is that not only did a 20-year old Ry Cooder play bass &
guitar on "Abba Zaba" and "Grown So Ugly", he also arranged the latter as well as "Sure 'Nuff 'N Yes I Do". Also, Cooder's role in the recording process was 'to translate the Captain's wilder notions to the rest of the band and generally acts as musical director'. With him as a supervisor, the sessions proceeded more or less smoothly and Safe As Milk was recorded within a month. Fun fact;
the album appears in the 2000 film High Fidelity as an album that the character Barry, played by Jack Black, continually refuses to sell to a customer, whom he deems unsuitable to own it. The 7 bonus tracks are taken from the sessions for the unreleased 'Brown Wrapper' follow-up album. These tracks had been recorded around November 1967, two months after the release of Safe as Milk's and were from the same sessions that yielded the songs on Mirror Man Sessions [MOVLP260]. The 50th Anniversary edition of Safe As Milk is pressed on Milky White vinyl. Only 1.500 individually numbered copies are available.

During the Brit Funk era, they met up with Mike Lindup and Wally Badarou (who would become a fifth member in all but name) and recorded their first single "Love Meeting Love". Their follow-up "Love Games" cracked the UK Top 40 and had success in Europe. What followed was a string of minor hits with "The Sun Goes Down (Living It Up), "Hot Water" but the big breakthrough was with "Something About You" in 1985. The single was Level 42's first American hit, and would do well on both sides of the Ocean. The band carried on delivering hits through their funky, jazzy songs with finger popping good grooves and infectious rhythms. During the following years up until today, Level 42 are recording records and continue to tour the world, although in a slightly different line-up. The Collected double vinyl album contains a selection of their songs from the earlier years of "Starchild" up until "Tracie" and "Take A Look". These tracks, specially remastered for vinyl, are exciting, standing the test of time, delivered by a timeless band.
