180 GRAM AUDIOPHILE VINYL GATEFOLD SLEEVE Roy Wood is an English singer-songwriter and multi- instrumentalist. He was particularly successful in the 60s and 70s as member and co-founder of The Move, Electric Light Orchestra and Wizzard. As a songwriter, he contributed a number of hits to the repertoire of these bands. The BBC has described Wood as being "responsible for some of the most memorable sounds of the Seventies" and "credited as playing a major role in the Glam Rock, Psychedelic and Prog Rock movements". In 2008, Wood was awarded an honorary doctorate for his contribution to rock and pop by the University of Derby. In 2015, his long and eclectic career was recognized with the "Outer Limits" award at the Progressive Music Awards in London. Wood will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017 as a member of Electric Light Orchestra. Boulders is the first solo album by Roy Wood. Apart from harmonium on track one played by John Kurlander, all the instruments (including guitars, cello, saxophones, recorders) and voices were recorded by Wood, who also wrote, arranged, and produced the entire album, and did a selfportrait for the front cover. Originally issued on Harvest, the album peaked at No. 15 in the UK Albums Chart. Two singles were taken from the album, "When Gran'ma Plays the Banjo" and "Dear Elaine". The latter reached No. 18 in the UK Singles Chart.

180 GRAM AUDIOPHILE VINYL VOCALS BY DON FARDON FIRST PRESSING OF 750 NUMBERED COPIES ON RED VINYL The Sorrows are a rock band formed in 1963 in Coventry, Warwickshire, United Kingdom by Pip Whitcher, and were part of the British beat boom of the 60s. They were a fixture in the English mod scene. The Sorrows released their first album, Take a Heart, in 1965 on Piccadilly Records. They played a hard, aggressive version of contemporary R&B;
later this style of music was termed freakbeat. The group's first single entitled "I Don't Wanna Be Free" was received with interest and the potential of the group was particularly remarked upon. The third single "Take A Heart" gave them that elusive break. The song was written by Mike Dallon, a young man in his early twenties, who was just beginning to make his mark as a talent to be reckoned with. Two more of his compositions, "She's Got The Action" and "Let Me In", are featured on this album and it can be clearly seen that Mike has a strong feeling for the style the Sorrows emulate.

180 GRAM AUDIOPHILE VINYL GATEFOLD SLEEVE Judee Sill was an American singer and songwriter. She released two albums and partially completed a third album before her death in 1979. Sill encountered Graham Nash and David Crosby and toured with them for a time as their opening act, a year before the release of her debut album. She was hired by the Turtles to write songs, on which a few of them appeared on her debut album, such as "Lady-O". Two of Sill's biggest influences were Bach and Ray Charles. Judee Sill's eponymous debut album of the same name was originally released in late 1971. Backing musicians include John Beck and Jim Pons from the Leaves. The majority of the album was produced by Henry Lewy, noted for his work with Joni Mitchell throughout the 70s. Graham Nash handled the duties for the single "Jesus Was a Cross Maker" with his production designed to aim for radio airplay before the release of the album. Judee Sill featured Sill's voice in multiple overdubs, often in a four-part chorale or fugue. The songs are delivered in an acoustic style on guitar and, for "Jesus was a Cross Maker" and "Enchanted Sky Machines," on piano. The songs on the album feature elements of folk, country, and gospel, but also strong classical influences.

Spin Doctors weren't part of a political party but spread the word about romance. The band was formed in New York City, best known for their early 1990s hits Two Princes and Little Miss Can't Be Wrong. The singles peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 7 and No. 17 respectively. Pocket Full of Kryptonite is the first studio album (and second release) by the Spin Doctors which was originally released in August 1991. It peaked at #1 and #3 on Billboard's Heatseekers and Billboard 200 albums charts. It was the band's bestselling album and was certified 5x Platinum by the RIAA. The album's title is a reference to Kryptonite, a fictional substance from the Superman comic book series. The title is taken from the album's opening track, Jimmy Olsen's Blues, a reference to Superman supporting character Jimmy Olsen, who is attracted to Lois Lane and jealous of her romantic feelings for Superman. The cover is showing a phone booth and refers to Clark Kent frequently ducking into a nearby phone booth to change into his Superman attire.

The original members were Son Doobie, DJ Ralph M and Tomahawk Funk. Which Doobie U B? is the debut studio album by the Latino rap group Funkdoobiest. DJ Muggs was the executive producer for this album. Tracks on the album are performed by Son Doobie and Tomahawk Funk, including additional Cypress Hill member B-Real on the track Wopbabalubop. Hence the album is very much in line with the Cypress Hill productions. It all works anyway, according to Allmusic review writer Steve Huey, he continues Muggs is in his absolute prime as a producer here, and Son Doobie's rhymes are fittingly surreal and stoner-friendly, albeit more cartoonish than menacing like his Cypress counterpart. The album title derived from a line in an episode of the 1970s sitcom What's Happening!!, when the main character, Raj, is introduced to special guests The Doobie Brothers.
